Thankfully, Mojang have bundled Java runtime onto the official Minecraft launcher. It would come with a control panel applet, a web browser integration, an annoying updater, and worse of all: a toolbar ads on the installer itself, all of which is not necessary to play Minecraft at all! One of the most frustrating aspect about installing Java to play Minecraft is that the installer would try to integrate Java onto Windows.
